The opening of the 19th edition of the Herceg Novi Comic Festival is scheduled for tonight at 9 PM at Belavista, with a joint tour of exhibitions in the Sue Ryder and Josip Bepo Benković galleries. Comic and music enthusiasts will then be able to continue an hour later to the nearby Forte Mare fortress for concerts by Ida Prester with the band Lollobrigida, as well as the group PAKS.
Ida’s distinctive aesthetics, cheerfulness, sharp and socially engaged lyrics, and irresistible dance melodies have brought her recognition and affection from audiences across the region.
She began her career in 2003 by founding the band Lollobrigida, through which she shaped a sound in the electro and synth-pop direction. Their songs were marked by sincere lyrics, dance rhythms, and a punk attitude. Ida was also active in the harder electro project Frau Casio, as well as in the band MAiKA, known for its unique sound, aesthetics, and performances of songs in English.
After fifteen years of working on various music projects, in 2019 she released her first solo single Šansa. Since then, she has built a series of distinctive dance-romantic songs – Minuta, Dodir, Kvar, Luda, Sad, and 70 – which confirm her successful transformation from a rebellious punk rocker into a respected electro-pop artist.
Ida is also known as an activist advocating important issues and fighting against social injustice.
The band PAKS, winner of the Bunt Rock Festival, is a music duo from Belgrade that combines music, film, and visual art into a unique whole. The band was founded in 2022 by Filip Pavlović and Minja Vuletić. They are known for their innovative approach to music creation and performance, and they describe their style as a blend of pop, rock, and electronic elements.
