Four months ahead of the 20th edition of the Herceg Novi Comic Festival (HSF) — the best and most entertaining regional event dedicated to the ninth art — we are announcing three new spectacular special guests: Darick Robertson, Geoff Senior, and Barry Kitson. They will be staying in Herceg Novi from September 4 to 9 at the jubilee edition of HSF, alongside the already announced guests: Terry Moore, Jim Mahfood, and Sean Crystal from the USA, as well as Dani from Greece and Luana Vecchio and Katie Vecchio from Italy.

Darick Robertson is an American superstar — an artist, writer, and executive producer — best known for cult comic titles such as *Transmetropolitan* and *The Boys*, which, in addition to selling hundreds of thousands of copies, became a global TV hit on Amazon Prime. Over his decades-long career, Robertson has worked for all the major American publishers, with standout titles including *Batman*, *Justice League*, *Wolverine*, *The Punisher*, *New Warriors*, *Deadpool*, *Nightcrawler*, and *Spider-Man* for giants DC Comics and Marvel. In 2026, his new project *Necrotaceous*, created in collaboration with acclaimed writer Tom Taylor, will premiere under DC/Vertigo.

This September, HSF will also host another great master of the ninth art, Geoff Senior, whose impressive career began in the UK in the 1980s, when he worked on some of the biggest comic franchises, most notably *Transformers* for Marvel UK. It is safe to say that his name stands at the very top of the pyramid of artists associated with this global comic and pop culture phenomenon. Together with writer Simon Furman, he created *Death’s Head* and *Dragon’s Claws*. In his rich career, Senior also spent nearly three decades working in marketing, creating storyboards for some of the world’s biggest brands. Recently, he has returned to comics and to his longtime collaborator Furman, with whom he is working on the ten-issue maxi-series *To the Death*, as well as several additional comic projects that remain secret — perhaps to be revealed at the jubilee edition of HSF.

From September 4 to 9, 2026, HSF will also welcome as a special guest of its 20th edition Barry Kitson, a true living legend of the ninth art. A man whose first professional engagement was on *Spider-Man*, he has worked on virtually every major title in comics. He has collaborated with renowned writers such as Peter Milligan, Grant Morrison, and Alan Grant, among many others. His most notable works include stories for *Future Shocks*, as well as his cult run on *Judge Anderson* for publisher 2000 AD. He created the series *L.E.G.I.O.N.* for DC Comics, as well as the *Azrael* run within the Batman universe. Within the same universe, he also worked on parts of the *Contagion* storyline, and for DC he contributed to titles such as *Superman*, *Wonder Woman*, *Justice League of America*, *Titans*, *Empire*, and *Legion of Super-Heroes*. For Marvel, the world’s largest comic publisher, he has worked on *The Order*, *Secret Invasion*, *Amazing Spider-Man*, *The Hulk*, *Iron Man*, *Captain America*, *Avengers*, and many more.
