Detour emerged as the successor to the group Yammat and has been performing under this name since 2006. Even in their early days, the band created unforgettable tracks such as Ljeto počinje (Summer Begins), Mjesec (Moon), Gledano sa strane (Seen from the Side), and Prijatelj (Friend), which appeared on their first two studio albums.

Their third album, A što ak’ ja… (What If I…), marked a turning point in the band’s career, earning them the title “Flagbearers of New Wave Pop” and the Porin Award for Best Pop Album in 2014. The band’s authorial virtuosity and creativity continue to this day, with singles like Šarena (Colorful), Slavlje (Celebration), Hawaii, and Klaun (Clown) standing as proof.
