Kralj Čačka and the uncrowned king of the post-Yugoslav singer-songwriter scene will perform at Forte Mare tonight, September 7, as part of the Herceg Novi Comic Festival.

Nenad Marić, the musician’s real name, released his first single Moj avatar in 2014, followed two years later by one of his most famous songs, Deda Mraz je švorc, which came out along with his debut album Zemlja snova. He is the recipient of the “Strings of Light” award for 2017, given for a special contribution to the promotion of poetic expression in rock and blues music.

At the end of 2018, he released his second album Spusti svetlost na put, which was voted “Album of the Year 2018” by the listeners of Radio Belgrade 202. In collaboration with Radio Teatar from Zagreb, in 2020 he took part in the production of the radio drama Soundtrack for a Film That Was Never Made, and in 2021 he worked on songs for the play Hello, Hello, This is Radio Zagreb.

Together with his brother Marko Marić, he co-authored the music for the film The Last Return of Cactus Bata, released in 2020, as well as for the film A Real Story and the TV series Mom and Dad Are Playing War. At the end of 2022, he released the single The Earth Is Not My Home.
