Valeria Burzo comes from Naples, where she graduated in Design and Applied Arts from the Academy of Fine Arts. Her remarkable drawing talent led her to a career in comics, where she has been excelling for over a decade. She illustrated The Kabbalist of Prague for the French publisher Glénat, followed by The Last Hedgehog for Marota & Cafiero. Her subsequent works include The Investigations of Tom Bacardi for Inkiostro, Samuel Stern for Bugs, Witches of World War II for TKO Studios, Soul Grabber for Mad Cave, and The Skinwalker Hunt for Boom. A highlight of her career is her collaboration with one of the all-time greats, Mike Mignola, creator of Hellboy, for whom she illustrated A Castle Full of Ghosts, published by the American publisher Dark Horse. Valeria also contributes to various comic anthologies and is considered one of the most prominent comic book authors in Europe today.
