Yuri Landman began his career at the end of the last century, when he published two highly successful graphic novels: You Can Do Anything with Me (1997) and Earned Salary (1998), for which he received the “Breda” award for best emerging artist the same year. Soon after, he made a major career shift, dedicating himself to music and becoming a world-renowned inventor of experimental musical instruments, collaborating with bands such as Sonic Youth and Einstürzende Neubauten. During the coronavirus pandemic, he returned to comics and created the outstanding album titled 1991, which in recent years has been translated into six languages worldwide and was also published by Belgrade’s System Comics.
